Concept crit

Today we had a concept crit led by Fred.

Here are the feedback sheets that I got back from the group.

At the end of the session we had to make a list of ten things to do for next weeks crit on Tuesday. First we came up with a basic outline of what everyone should have.

  1. Initial design sheets- concept development, range, colour schemes, format.
  2. Test pieces, prototypes (mock ups- bus shelters, billboards, stickers).
  3. Samples of stock/ product/ formats.
  4. Clarified brief and rationale.
  5. Primary and secondary research on blog- isolate pieces of research, print offs, boards.
  6. Distribution details and methods.
  7. Defined and specific audiences.
  8. Specific content.
  9. Exploration of range.
  10. Progress evaluation.
More specifically what I need to do for my brief...
  1. Target audience- is it going to stay exclusive to just Londoners?
  2. Find a way to make it secret or exclusive to just Londoners.
  3. Explore the possible range- stickers, flyers, app etc.
  4. Research iphone apps.
  5. Research Geocaching (treasure hunt, speak to Luke OB)
  6. Logo and branding ketches and ideas.
  7. Primary research- Survey, interview Londoners.
  8. Find actual London hot spots and locations on Facebook, Twitter and from interviews, surveys.
  9. Website/ homepage sketches.
  10. Solid list of range, what to create.
