YCN... Packaging

Today me and Baljeet finalised our packaging. We felt that even though the more complex nets looked great and reflected the use of crystals in Lola&Graces jewellery, the complexity of them may cause problems when it comes to the manufacturing of the packaging. This is especially a problem that we need to be thinking about as we intend to deliver a proposal direct to Lola&Grace for them to use our one of packaging design at MCR fashion week.

Here is the final, simplified packaging design that we have decided to use. The gap between the lid and the base will include a pattern. We have also mocked up some bag sizes that we will design the outside of, these will be given out at MCR fashion week with the jewellery box inside.

Happy bag :)

This evening we agreed that we would both produce some pattern designs to be included in the packaging, influenced by both the packaging and artist Ramzi Musa. Here is what I've managed to come up with. I initially painted them and then edited them on Photoshop and Illustrator to make them into repeat patterns.

Here are our final nets that we'll be working from. There are the basic box shapes and also the nets for white stock covering the boxes. We feel that this is the best way to get a nice, clean finish on the packaging.
