YCN... collaboration

Today me and Baljeet met with Sinead, the fashion student who agreed to collaborate with us. We discussed what we all wanted from the brief and have come up with some great ideas. Sinead's existing clothing line is ideal for what we are looking for and she has a photo shoot coming up on Friday. We all agreed that it would be fantastic if we could somehow convince Lola&Grace to lend us some of their jewellery for the shoot. I rang my sister who is assistant manager of the recently launched store and she is seeing if she can pull some strings. Sinead has offered them a chance to be involved in Manchester fashion week in return for letting us borrow the jewellery, as she works there and can make it happen. We are confident that they will let us use the jewellery in the shoot, however the only concern is about getting it here by Friday. If not their is another shoot arranged on Tuesday, this won't be as great but still a good outcome. We are currently waiting to hear back from Lola&Grace, so fingers crossed.
Here is the email that we sent to them with the details of our request following our phone call.

Here are the files that were sent with the email that include details of being a sponsor, to help encourage them to take us up on our offer.

This has sparked more ideas for me and Baljeet. It now seems a bit unrelated to be producing packaging, but we have decided to design some goodie bags to be given out at Manchester fashion week promoting the new store and spreading it to the north. We are also going to design the shop front of the collaboration between Lola&Grace and O'Herlihy (Sinead's clothing line). We think that this will all tie in nicely together and will be a good proposal to submit both to YCN and now to Lola&Grace as a real life pitch. We will of course give Sinead credit for her work and will involve her with however far this brief takes us.

Today me and Baljeet also worked on some nets for packaging, which will now be included in the goodie bags for Manchester fashion week.

We are going to modify a couple of these in a smaller size more suitable for packaging jewellery.

Here is how we are going to modify one of them into a box with a separate lid, as opposed to having it attached. The idea is to have either tissue or silk inside with the jewellery being held by small clips.
