Our idea so far is to create a children's book directing them how to tell a convincing lie, or not getting caught.
We thought of creating one print based product and on web to give us the widest scope and audience possible, although after further thought we decided that creating an e-book would over complicate things and might not necessarily appeal to our target audience (children roughly between the ages 5-9).
We have also determined our main roles within the group to help with organisation and development with our project.
Liam- Illustration. We decided that even though we will all have a hand in the designs that Liam should have the final say and edit over the illustrations for the book. This is down to the fact that he is simply the most experienced on Adobe Illustrator and already has a defined style that will suit the tone of voice of our book.
Sophie, Yafet and me- Research and idea development. We feel we are organised enough to cover most fields and back up any work we have with solid research. Sophie and I are also the most confident speakers in the group so will most probably play a vital role when it comes to presenting our ideas for crits.
Michael- It was hard to determine what role he would play in the group due to his absence, but we decided that he would work well with concept development.
We began by discussing the style of the book, we decided that it needed to be kept simple and to probably use two colours plus stock to suit the tone of voice of the content. Here are some swatch combination examples that Sophie made.
Here is a quick example of how the illustrations might look like in the book, and the scenarios that may be presented.
